The 2010 year started off with good runs from Rochelle Rochelle, Richwood Silver, and Cool Clue.
Clue finished 2nd to a runaway (~16 lengths) winner ship in from New York and should be sitting on a winning race towards of the end of January.
Rochelle Rochelle race was rained off the turf and she finished a real good 2nd in what is probably her least preferred surface. At Tampa, if you enter in a turf race and it is rained off, and you still run in that race, you get assigned a 'SPC' date, which means we control our own destiny for her next start. She is another that gained alot from that effort and she should be tough in her next start, which should be around the first week in February.
Richwood Silver ran in a sprint race for the first time that Chuck has trained her. We were entering her in route races for over 40 days without any success. The one race she did get into was snowed out by what was the biggest snow storm in Philadelphia in years. For running at her least preferred distance, she was only 1.75 lengths from the 1st place horse and she should another that will be in peak condition for her next start, which will hopefully be towards the end of January.
Albin has been entered for a 8 furlong MSW turf race on Sunday January 17th. He is another that should have benefited greatly from his last start and should perform much better.
Mizz Liza and Colonel Klink are progressing well for their return efforts. Klink had a very good work (48.80), which was deemed spectacular from Chuck. Liza has proved to be quite the fussy one in the mornings but she has shown some talent and trains forwardly. There is a couple races for Klink at both Gulfstream and Tampa towards the last week of January/first week of February.
Graphite Halo and Appoint have been jogging and getting reacquainted with track life after having some time off. Gondorf has been dealing with some minor aliments and is pretty close to returning to full training.
Shane Tripp now has all four two year olds (Mr Mojo Risin, Surfer Rosa, Prospect Knight, The Magic Bus) with him in Ocala. All four are done with the breaking process and are now learning how to be racehorses. Prospect Knight's 3/4 brother (Ricky Tick) is pointing towards opening week at Oaklawn in an allowance race. Ricky Tick is the first foal out of Prospect Knight's dam. Good luck to those connections as they try the Derby Trail.
